• responding to the variety of concerns local residents have about the use of toxic chemicals in our environment;
• informing residents about the dangers of pesticides and about safer alternatives;
• encouraging members of the community to take our right to a healthy environment into our own hands;
• promoting public policies that mandate eliminating the use of toxic chemicals in our neighborhoods and other public spaces.

NPAC's current campaign goal
is to FIRST, put an end to the use of toxic chemicals on all public parklands and open spaces in Jamaica Plain (JP) and on Boston's Southwest Corridor Park, and IN THREE YEARS TIME, initiate the same throughout Boston.

To meet this goal, NPAC is active in several areas:
